Welcome to Finham Residents Association
CCC Planning Committee 19th December 2019 Print E-mail

Dear Residents,

Many thanks to all of those who attended the WDC Planning Meeting in Leamington on Tuesday 3rd December.  As expected the outline planning application was passed with one abstention.  Despite many misgivings and acknowledgement that the huge building development would seriously impact on Finham, the Councillors followed the advice from the Planning officers to approve.

We need to remember that the reason for this situation is entirely down to the inaccurate housing figures put forward by CCC in their Local Plan.

The next thing we need to address is the plan to create a traffic island at the junction of St Martins Road, Howes Lane, Kings Hill Lane and Green Lane which is currently being challenged by Finham Parish Council.

Also an access point is proposed alongside the primary school (opposite the shops on Green Lane)

This will be discussed for approval at CCC Planning Committee on Thursday 19th December at 2 pm.

We need your help!

Please join us at the Council House by 1.15 to make your feeling known to the Councillors. Tell as many people as you can.

We are aware that many people are now saying it will happen so what is the use of attending meetings but if we do not then the Council will assume that we agree.

I would like to thank all of the residents who have supported us over many years.

Kind regards

Bob Fryer (President)

Petition against Bus Gate Print E-mail

Are you aware that after years of campaigning and petitioning with Coventry City Council and Warwick District Council they are still pursuing their need for a bus gate and roundabout at the end of Green Lane? This is despite repeated alternatives being presented to them.

Finham Residents Association and Finham Parish Council continue efforts to shape this development into something that is widely acceptable.

If you are also unhappy with this situation, we urge and encourage you to submit your views on:
https://myaccount.coventry.gov.uk/Petitions

Let Coventry City Council and Warwick District Council KNOW what you want because in the very near future it will be too late.
