The Government has published this consultation about transforming the way information is used, collected and analysed in the NHS. It includes ideas about giving patients control of their records and the types of information people need to make informed choices about their care. It also covers how information can be used to improve patient outcomes including patient feedback.

A discussion meeting will be held at the Welcome Centre, Parkside, Coventry, on 2nd December  at 10:15 - 12:30, to gather different perspectives on what information is useful for local people.

To help residents who are vulnerable to numberplate thefts, WM Police are in partnership with Halfords offering a free security screw fitting service.  The Police are supplying the screws and Halfords are fitting them. It is between 1300 - 1700 on Thursday 14th Oct, at the BP garage and is absolutely free and no appointment required.
Bearing in mind the number of plate thefts we have had, and the subsequent problems this causes the Police are are hoping to generate some interest and possibly run similar schemes in the future.

Coventry Trading Standards wish to put a warning out to schools, churches and community groups, in respect of a group of rogue traders who are going around targeting these type of premises.

Officers have received several reports colleagues in Warwickshire that schools etc have been approached by a door-to-door trader offering cut-price line painting on roads outside buildings or in car parks. They say they are working on behalf of the council or its contractors and have lots of spare yellow paint because they have been asked to use red paint when line marking instead. If work is carried out, it is likely to be of very poor standard and over-charged, costing even more money to put right, turning what seems to be a cheap deal in to a very big mistake.
